Low Tide Art Gallery

One joy of summer in Nova Scotia is running carelessly barefoot down a sandy beach, or splashing through the waves as they lap on the shore.

Another joy for me, is strolling along the shore at a snail's pace, enjoying the sights and sounds of the sea. The best part of these strolls is the art work! Mother nature and her tides are very talented artists.

The impressions left by the ocean's tide always amaze me. Below are some images I have caputured on Nova Scotia beaches recently.  Each is a unique work of art, at the hands of the Atlantic Ocean. While I may see a similar pattern during a beach stroll in the future, I will never see these exact same designs again. That is what makes each of these photographs special.

Come, take a stroll with me through Mother Nature's Low Tide Art Gallery......

Amanda I am now caught up in the web of summer work and when I finally opened your latest post I realize exactly how much I am missing as I pass through this life. As always your gift is to show the beauty in the details which is the secret of great design. Thank you for this reminder and continue to show how wonderful life can be if we slow down to see; even though I know that somehow you have mastered the ability to do so many things as you emphasize the qualities of proceeding at a slow pace. Thank you for your sharing.

Lovely! My favourite thing to walk the beach at low tide.

Awesome sand shots, I can never get them just right! I forgot to tell you I saw your photography at Saltscapes when we had went to Rushton Beach a few weeks ago ... bought a card for my friend Darrin. He loved it!
